Whytemead First School, Worthing

What it is

Whytemead First School is an infant school for children aged 4-8 years situated in Worthing.  Due to space constraints and an increase in pupils the school needed to create additional space within the existing confines of the site.

What we did

MacConvilles created a single large classroom out of two smaller classrooms and a disused WC.  This involved structural alterations and a small infill extension to create a large useable floor space.

We also formed a new doorway and covered way to enable easy transition to other parts of the school.

The project was completed to a tight timescale over the summer holidays.
